Red Sky Winery
19495 144th Ave NE
Suite B210
Woodinville, WA 98072
With an emphasis on handcraftsmanship, Red Sky Winery creates small batch wines with rich, intricate flavors that are intended to enhance great meals.
Originally the owners of a wine and cheese store in Seattle, Carol and Jim Parsons have long shared a passion for wine that has taken them around the globe to enjoy some of the world’s best vintages. Under the guidance of winemaker John Ogburn, the Parsons and a small group of friends launched Red Sky Winery with 50 cases they made at home in 1999. In 2006, Carol became head winemaker, and today, Red Sky produces 1000 cases annually.
Red Sky Winery is run almost entirely by women, which may explain its nurturing approach to winemaking. Barrels from all over the world are specially selected for the unique flavors and aromas they’ll contribute to each varietal of wine during the aging process. Over time, Red Sky wines develop and mature into reds, whites, and blends that are complex, elegant, and well-balanced.
The Red Sky tasting room is located in Woodinville, about a half hour away from Seattle, and is beautifully designed with original artwork by Gretchen Michaels and photographs by Steven Fey. Stop by on Saturday between noon and 5pm – or on Sunday in the summer – to sample current releases and buy your favorites to share with family and friends.
