Our restaurant features seasonal, local, Northwest cuisine with seasonally changing menus and organic ingredients whenever possible. Our restaurant has a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, perfect for any occasion whether you're looking for a romantic four-course meal by the fireplace or a couple glasses of wine and an appetizer.

Preservation Kitchen preserves the traditions of regional eating and drinking, our local history, and old-fashioned hospitality. We believe that sharing a good meal with friends and family is one of the best ways to spend your time, and that expensive prices, white table cloths and pretentious wine lists are not necessary to achieve a great dining experience.

Preservation Kitchen is located in the 1916 Kaysner Estate in historic downtown Bothell. The property has a rich culinary history having been the former site of celebrated Chef Gerard Parrat’s restaurant, Gerard’s de Lyon, where he introduced Western Washington to haute French cuisine in the 1970s. Many original elements of his 2000 square foot french kitchen remain, including the autographs on the wall of visiting french chefs.

Owners Gary and Susan Southwick, who own the local neighborhood pub The AleHouse, fell in love with the estate's sprawling grounds, original brick, craftsman woodwork, leaded windows and many fireplaces. They spent five months restoring the property and building the new wine bar.
