Efeste Wines
19730 144th Ave NE
Woodinville, WA 98072
With their hands-off approach, Efestē Wines makes wines that reflect the land where they were grown. These wines are meant be enjoyed in the company of good friends and family.
Efeste, pronounced F-S-T, is the phonetic acronym of its founders’ names: Daniel & Helen Ferrelli, Patrick Smith, and Kevin & Angela Taylor. What started as a shared passion for wine blossomed into a business idea and resulted in a trip down under, to Australian wine country. When this group of friends returned home to Washington, they were well-versed in both Australian wine and the idea of not taking yourself too seriously.
In short, at Efeste, life is best taken with a glass of wine and a grain of salt.
With a focus on wine monitoring, not wine making, Efeste allows the wine to speak for itself, telling the story of the land where it was grown. Taking a minimal approach that focuses on terroir, winemakers cultivate old vines using old-world methods, coaxing elegance, maturity, and character from the grapes to give the wine personality. The result is a selection of bold reds and complex whites that pair perfectly with good company and good food.
Located in Woodinville in the Puget Sound wine region just 30 minutes from Seattle, the Efeste winery tasting room is open Friday through Sunday from 12 – 5 pm, serving flights of award-winning wines. The winery also hosts winemaker dinners, cooking competitions, and food festivals, along with special events for Inner Circle wine club members.
